Lamis Ali Negm is a distinguished leader in the Egyptian banking sector, with over 35 years of expertise in corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. She currently serves as Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt for Community Responsibility and is the Chairperson of the Sustainable Development Committee at the Federation of Egyptian Banks.

Her career began in 1993 at the National Bank for Development, where she spearheaded pioneering CSR initiatives and held senior leadership roles until 2008. In 2017, she was appointed Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, becoming the first woman to hold this role. Since then, she has led the design and implementation of sustainability and community development strategies across Egypt’s banking sector, with a focus on financial inclusion, green banking, and digital transformation, all aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Negm has represented Egypt in international forums, including the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit in New York, and has collaborated with major institutions such as the International Finance Corporation, the World Bank, and the London Stock Exchange Foundation. She is also a long-standing board member of the Misr El Kheir Foundation, and in 2021 was elected to the board of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, as well as the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Holding Company.

In addition to her banking and development leadership, Lamis Ali Negm plays an active role in sports and community engagement, serving as the Treasurer of the Egyptian Wheelchair Basketball Federation. Her career reflects a lifelong dedication to advancing social responsibility, empowering communities, and fostering sustainable development in Egypt and the wider Middle East.
