Dr. Eman Karim is a distinguished academic and advocate for disability rights in Egypt. She currently heads the National Council for Persons with Disabilities as she was appointed in 2022, reporting directly to the Prime Minister. She also serves as a Board Member of the Egyptian Wheelchair Basketball Federation, where she contributes to the advancement of inclusive sports.
An accomplished scholar, Dr. Karim holds a Bachelor’s degree in German Language and Literature, as well as a Master’s and PhD in Applied German Linguistics from Cairo University. She is now a Professor of Applied Linguistics at October University – Faculty of Languages and Translation, where she continues to inspire students and advance research in the field.
In recognition of her leadership, she was also elected Board Member of the Shooting Club in Egypt for two consecutive terms, reflecting her credibility and trust within the sports and social communities.
Since 2013, Dr. Karim has served as a Board Member of AlHassan Foundation for Differently Abled Inclusion, one of Egypt’s leading organizations supporting persons with disabilities.
With her combined expertise in academia, social development, and disability advocacy, Dr. Eman Karim remains a powerful voice for inclusion, empowerment, and equal opportunity in Egypt and beyond.
